What is a landing page? And why do I need to use them.

Landing page

Landing pages are what online marketers use and sometimes know as a lead capture page, lander or destination page. Simply put it’s a single web page that appears in response to clicking on a search engine optimized search result or an online advertisement, such as a facebook paid/sponsored advert. The landing page goes further into explaining the original advertised content, search result or link. Landing pages are used for lead generation, customers are known as leads. The copy writing of these landing pages is vital in getting the customer to click through. They usually contain a fill out form to “subscribe to”, “sign up” or “buy now”. The general goal of a landing page is to convert site visitors into sales or leads. If you want the visitor to get in touch with the company then you will have an inquiry form. If you want the visitor to buy a product the button will link to your cart or checkout area. Here is an example of a contact form.
